Education

For a future success of Microsystems Technology (MST) in the Netherlands, it is of great importance to spread both existing and new knowledge in this field. Education is an important aspect of this dissemination and a focus point of the MicroNed programme

The MicroNed educational committee is there to oversee these aspects within MicroNed and advise the Management in the fields of education and to organise activities and to stimulate this form of knowledge dissemination. To this end several activities are taking place.

• The main form of education within the MicroNed programme will be the schooling and training of Ph.D. students and Post Doctoral researchers within the MicroNed research projects.
• An overview of the educational programme available in the Netherlands is provided for both participant and others. This list includes both university lectures, as well as special courses.
• An overview of conferences and symposia related to the MicroNed fields of interest.
• The organisation of summer schools for the participants of the MicroNed programme on special topics.
• Stimulation of and assistance in the development of new educational tools by MicroNed partners.
• Providing a network and announcement platform for master projects linked to MicroNed research and traineeships with MicroNed partners for students.

Lectures and courses

In the field of Micro systems technology, there are a lot of lectures and courses available on a wide range of subjects. It is not the aim of the MicroNed programme to offer new ones, but to provide a platform for participants of the programme and other interested parties to find lectures and courses at other places in the Netherlands.

Conferences and Symposia

NanoNed/MicroNed Symposium

In cooperation with MinacNed and NanoNed, we organise a yearly conference. This conference is part of our mission to create a public-private knowledge infrastructure.
